Assembly analysis on CT
Our collaboration with CERN – the European Organization for Nuclear Research, which operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world, represents a great opportunity to investigate state-of-the-art manufacturing and characterization techniques.
The CT-based coordinate measuring machine, Metrotom 1500 from Zeiss, allows the 3D reconstruction of parts made of plastic, ceramics or composite materials, as well as magnesium, aluminum and steel and can be dimensionally measured and highly efficiently evaluated.
CT scanning can be used for flaw detection, failure analysis, metrology, assembly analysis and reverse engineering applications.
